Did you know there are ways to recover deleted text messages on your iPhone? We list some of the simplest as follow.
Despite the fact that text messages have already gone out of fashion, many users continue to use them. Especially those who have a flat rate with an operator. The iPhone offers an application for messages which is quite intuitive and clean. It allows us to write easily and quickly, as well as to store everything that comes to us. Did you know how to recover deleted text messages on the iPhone?
You can make use of your backup files stored in iTunes or iCloud. In case of not having a copy, it will be necessary to use a third party program and restore the deleted text message from the phone to the computer. Keep reading if you want to know how to recover deleted text messages on an iPhone.
The first thing you have to do is run iTunes on your computer. Prevents the automatic synchronization of the program from being activated. To do this enter the Edit menu and Preferences. When the window opens, go to Devices tab and select the option “Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically”. Keep in mind that if you do not do this, your device will begin the synchronization process just when you connect it to the PC. Something that could interfere with the restoration of the backup.
Then the next step is to connect the iPhone to the PC using the USB cable. Allows the computer to recognize the new device before proceeding. Now you will have to restore the device from a backup. The easiest way to do it is to choose the option “Restore backup” under “Summary” tab.
Keep in mind that this will only work if you have previously made a backup in iTunes. Now allow the data to be transferred to the iPhone. This could take several minutes. As soon as the process has been completed, your iPhone will have been restored to a previous state. Think that this will cause any information that you have added to the device since the last backup will be erased.
Another way to recover deleted text messages on your iPhone is by using iCloud. The first thing you have to do is format the phone. To do this enter the “Settings”, “General” menu and select “Reset” and “Erase All Content and Setting” once inside. This option will erase all the content of your device, which will be replaced by the backup saved in iCloud. You already know that as in the previous method, all the information that you have added to your iPhone since the last backup will be lost when doing this.
After formatting your iPhone, the device would have to give you the option to configure it as a new phone. Or restore it from a previous backup. In this step, choose the option “Restore from iCloud Backup”. For this you will be asked to enter your Apple ID and password. You will have to do it if you want to start the restoration process.
Your iPhone will reboot and the data in the backup will be restored to the phone from iCloud. Keep in mind that this process could take a few minutes.
The first thing that will be restored will be your configuration and accounts. After that, all the music you have bought, the applications, books, television programs, the images stored in the camera and the rest of the data (including text messages) will be restored.
Do not forget to leave your iPhone connected to a power source while the data is being restored. This will allow you to save battery.
You may be asked to enter your Apple ID and password several times while your account is being reactivated.
